Key Responsibilities
  • Supplier Relationship Management: Develop and maintain strong relationships with new and existing suppliers to ensure robust, efficient, and sustainable supply chains.
  • Negotiation and Contract Management: Negotiate the best terms, prices, and service level agreements with suppliers to meet the needs of our operations team.
  • Vendor Qualification: Lead the qualification efforts on prospective vendors based on documented processes and vendor surveys.
  • Purchasing and Order Management: Lead the process for purchasing, ensuring that the process is followed and completed on time, and working with the buyers to ensure accurate and timely completion.
  • Supply Chain Optimization: Understand demand requirements and react decisively to resolve supply chain constraints, implementing action plans with operational leadership.
  • Inventory Management: Issue Purchase Orders for suppliers, provide documentation on custom materials to suppliers, and ensure Purchase Order delivery dates and confirmations are up to date at all times.
  • Quality Control: Resolve differences with regard to supplier costs, quality, deliveries, and payments.
  • Reporting and Analysis: Review SAP daily in regard to Material Lists, Traffic Lights, expedite/deferrals, and produce forecast information using various reports.
  • Supplier Performance Management: Monitor Supplier Delivery and Quality Performance, and produce forecast information using various reports.
  • Dispute Resolution: Process delivery discrepancies and Vendor Rejects, and raise Supplier corrective Action Requests.
  • Inventory Replenishment: Assist with reviewing and adjusting Safety stock levels and raising Purchase Orders to replenish stock for Remote Sites.
  • Compliance and Governance: Follow company policies and practices as outlined in the Employee Handbook and/or applicable employment agreement.
  • Team Support: Support the buyers as required with monitoring of exception messages, outstanding Purchase orders, and monthly forecasting meetings.
Requirements
  • Experience: Three years' experience of buying raw materials within a manufacturing fast-paced environment.
  • Supply Chain Knowledge: Broad end-to-end supply chain and operations process knowledge.
  • Interpersonal Skills: Strong interpersonal skills in order to communicate effectively with suppliers, customers, and colleagues in all functions.
  • Autonomy: Ability to work with minimal supervision.
  • International Experience: Experience of dealing with international suppliers.
  • Adaptability: Must be able to operate in a fast-paced organization and handle multiple projects simultaneously within set timeframes.
  • Travel: Must have the availability to travel occasionally as required.

  • Monday to Friday
  • 8am to 5pm
