Deputy Theatre Manager Role Summary:

Nuffield Health is seeking an experienced theatre professional to lead and develop a high-performing team, enhancing patient care and customer experience.

This key member of the Senior Clinical Team will be responsible for delivering the strategic vision and plan for the theatre department and hospital. As Deputy Theatre Manager, you will have a strong track record of leading and developing a high-performing theatre team to enhance patient care and customer experience, whilst facilitating the best possible clinical outcomes.

The role is comprised of 70% clinical duties within the theatre department and 30% administrative tasks. You will be accountable for the customer & stakeholder outcomes, line management for lead practitioners, and acting as the theatre manager in their absence. You will also participate in and manage the duty lead rota, as well as coordinate the department's theatre staff activities.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead and develop a high-performing theatre team
  • Develop strong partnerships with key stakeholders
  • Deputise for the Theatre Manager and coordinate the theatre department as required
  • Good people management and time management skills
  • Excellent computer skills
Requirements:
  • More than 5 years theatre experience
  • Microsoft and Excel experience
  • Strong communication and clinical skills
  • Professional Registered with the NMC/HCPC
  • SFA/ALS & Leadership & Management experience
  • Lead the team and promote best evidence-based practice
  • Good creative and strategic skills
  • Can work well under pressure
