We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated School Nurse Specialist to join our team at NELFT North East London Foundation Trust. As a key member of our 0-19 Healthy Child Programme, you will play a vital role in promoting the health and wellbeing of children and young people in our community.
Main Responsibilities- Work closely with social care, targeted services, children's centres, schools, and multi-disciplinary teams to ensure health inequalities are addressed for all children, young people, and families in Redbridge.
- Support the Healthy Child Programme by undertaking mandated contacts for the 5-19 community, including universal and targeted services.
- Supervise colleagues and students as part of the 0-19 skill mix team.
This is an exciting opportunity to join a dynamic and enthusiastic team, contributing to the further development of our service. You will have the chance to work in a collaborative environment, partnering with external agencies and organisations to improve outcomes and reduce health inequalities.
Requirements- Registered Nurse (RN) qualification.
- Diploma/Degree in Specialist Community Public Health Nursing - School Nursing.
- Non-Medical Prescribing qualification.
- Relevant experience working with children and young people.
We offer a comprehensive induction programme, including mandatory training, systems training, and equipment allocation. You will also have access to a wide range of training opportunities, clinical supervision, and a Preceptorship Programme for newly qualified practitioners.
