About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate individual to fill the position of SARC Manager at Mountain Healthcare. As a key member of our team, you will play a pivotal role in providing dedicated support and care to victims of sexual assault.

The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating all activities related to the smooth running of the Sexual Assault Referral Centre (SARC), ensuring that services meet national and local targets in relation to rape and sexual assault.

This is a challenging yet rewarding role that requires strong leadership and management skills, as well as the ability to work effectively with vulnerable populations.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in forensic healthcare, with experience in managing multi-agency teams and developing strategic visions for services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate and deliver safe and effective services to all clients of the SARC
  • Evaluate and assess current service delivery, implementing changes in practice to deliver significant improvements in access and service delivery
  • Manage all employees associated with the SARC, ensuring that they receive the necessary training and support to provide high-quality care

The successful candidate will be required to work flexibly, including on-call shifts and travel to SARC locations as needed.

Requirements
  • Registered Nurse (NMC) with a minimum of 3 years post-qualification experience
  • Basic Life Support training
  • Experience working with vulnerable populations
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Venepuncture training
  • Managerial experience
  • Awareness of SARC commissioning
