We're seeking a proactive and organized People Team Assistant to join our People Function and contribute to our exciting journey.

This is an exceptional opportunity to dive into all aspects of people-related work, from recruitment and HR support to helping organize engaging staff events. As a key member of the team, you'll have the chance to develop your career and make a meaningful impact on our organization's success.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist the People Team with recruitment and HR tasks, including hiring, payroll, and administrative duties.
  • Support the interview process for internal and external candidates, coordinating trials and communicating with applicants.
  • Screen CVs, prepare interview questions, and deliver feedback with professionalism.
  • Maintain accurate employee records in our HR system and ensure compliance with UK employment laws.
  • Provide support with payroll and benefits administration, as well as preparing HR documents like offer letters and contracts.
  • Assist with audits, training sessions, inductions, workshops, and performance reviews.
  • Spend time out and about in the shops, learning about YSP operations and fostering relationships with team members.
  • Handle employee queries and promote a positive, supportive workplace culture.
  • Assist with organizing annual company events and socials.

What We're Looking For:

  • Experience working in a fast-paced recruitment or HR environment.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills, with a confident and proactive approach.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently.
  • Proficiency in using HR or ATS systems, with knowledge of Harri being a plus.
  • A positive attitude and passion for working with people, with a focus on building relationships.
