About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Allied Health Professional to lead our Preceptorship Programme, fostering inter-professional development opportunities and ensuring delivery via a blended learning approach.

Main Responsibilities
  • Develop robust processes to maintain ongoing evaluation and further development of the programme content.
  • Collaborate with AHP professions at Sheffield Teaching Hospitals and the Trust's Learning, Education and Development Department.
  • Develop a sustainable approach to embedding the programme and maintaining delivery using existing resources.
  • Support newly qualified AHPs through preceptorship, ensuring a high-quality preceptorship offer is available.

Requirements
  • Current registration with the HCPC as an Allied Health Professional.
  • Appropriate Allied Health Professional degree or diploma.
  • Completion of post-registration learning or CPD courses at masters' level.
  • Willingness to undertake further study as appropriate.
  • Experience of supporting newly qualified AHPs through preceptorship.
  • Ability to apply current research to practice and use research and other forms of evidence when auditing, developing, and improving practice.
  • Experience of developing, facilitating, and evaluating teaching and learning in a clinical or education environment.
  • Thorough understanding of equality, diversity, and inclusion and its application to managing self, staff, and patients.
Desirable Qualifications and Experience
  • Experience of managing and leading on projects within a healthcare organisation.
  • Teaching qualification or equivalent.
  • Leadership qualification.
  • Project management qualification (PRINCE2).

  • Willingness to actively seek ways to improve the newly qualified practitioner's experience.

  • A desire to work across professional boundaries and to promote and facilitate interprofessional learning.
  • Flexible and adaptable approach to working practices.
