AHP Preceptorship Programme Lead

We are seeking an experienced Allied Health Professional to lead our Preceptorship Programme, fostering inter-professional development opportunities and ensuring delivery via a blended learning approach.
Main Responsibilities- Develop robust processes to maintain ongoing evaluation and further development of the programme content.
- Collaborate with AHP professions at Sheffield Teaching Hospitals and the Trust's Learning, Education and Development Department.
- Develop a sustainable approach to embedding the programme and maintaining delivery using existing resources.
- Support newly qualified AHPs through preceptorship, ensuring a high-quality preceptorship offer is available.

Requirements- Current registration with the HCPC as an Allied Health Professional.
- Appropriate Allied Health Professional degree or diploma.
- Completion of post-registration learning or CPD courses at masters' level.
- Willingness to undertake further study as appropriate.
- Experience of supporting newly qualified AHPs through preceptorship.
- Ability to apply current research to practice and use research and other forms of evidence when auditing, developing, and improving practice.
- Experience of developing, facilitating, and evaluating teaching and learning in a clinical or education environment.
- Thorough understanding of equality, diversity, and inclusion and its application to managing self, staff, and patients.
- Experience of managing and leading on projects within a healthcare organisation.
- Teaching qualification or equivalent.
- Leadership qualification.
- Project management qualification (PRINCE2).
- Awareness of different management, leadership, cultures, and personalities and the ability to adapt communication as appropriate.
- Willingness to actively seek ways to improve the newly qualified practitioner's experience.
- Openness and willingness to give and receive balanced feedback.
- Approachability, so that colleagues feel comfortable and confident to seek support.
- Ability to motivate with a consistent approach; practical and objective in communicating ideas.
- Willingness to have difficult conversations and to show a high level of professionalism.
- A compassionate and empathetic approach and attitude towards working with preceptors, preceptorship champions, and preceptees.
- A desire to work across professional boundaries and to promote and facilitate interprofessional learning.
- Flexible and adaptable approach to working practices.
