Maths Teacher Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Maths Teacher to join our team at New Forest Care Ltd. This is an excellent opportunity for a subject specialist in Maths to make a difference in the lives of our students.

New Forest Care Ltd is an outstanding, small independent school with a strong reputation for working with vulnerable students with ASD, attachment difficulties, social, emotional and mental health needs and challenging behaviours.

Our students and staff benefit from access to excellent facilities on our split site school, including our school farm and Outdoor Learning Centre. Our small class sizes and high staff ratios allow us to provide highly bespoke and individualised educational provision to our students, with additional support provided from our therapy and pastoral teams.

The successful candidate will be responsible for planning and delivering lessons while following the national curriculum. They will also have a desire to work in an SEN setting and be approachable, flexible and adaptable. The ideal candidate will have effective communication and relationship building skills, as well as the capability to support children with social and emotional behavioural needs within an educational environment.

Qualifications and Requirements:

  • QTS or equivalent required.
  • Proven teaching experience.
  • Desire to work in an SEN setting.
  • Effective communication skills and build good relationships.
