We are seeking a skilled Cost Management Specialist who will play a crucial role in estimating and managing expenses for our projects, ensuring that all structures comply with legal and quality standards. As a Cost Management Specialist, you will be engaged throughout all phases of a project.
Your responsibilities will encompass:
- Compiling internal commercial reports and any additional documentation as required.
- Creating valuations/applications for payment with necessary documentation in line with contractual obligations.
- Developing Cost Reports for the Client, ensuring all supporting documents are contractually compliant.
- Organizing and overseeing subcontract and material procurement schedules.
- Managing subcontractor/supplier accounts, from detailed requisition preparation to monitoring and authorizing subcontract payments, culminating in the agreement of final accounts.
- Conducting contract administration, including change management and maintaining relevant registers.
- Identifying commercial risks, opportunities, value engineering, and changes.
- Utilizing the costing system effectively.
- Preparing internal commercial reports and any other necessary documentation.
To excel in this role, the Cost Management Specialist should possess:
- Relevant Industry Qualification
- Strong commercial acumen with familiarity in standard forms of contract and measurement methods.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Applications (Word/Excel/Outlook/PowerPoint).
- Excellent communication skills, including the ability to present and negotiate effectively.
- Experience in the construction/engineering sector with a commercial focus.
- General experience in Civil Engineering.
