We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Costing Analyst to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing exceptional analysis and support to the Head of Costing, as well as contributing to the development of financial and activity-based analysis.
Key Responsibilities- Provide detailed exception analysis from the Patient Level Costing System to the Head of Costing, including comparative analysis and benchmarking analysis.
- Attend internal and external costing meetings to ensure effective communication and collaboration.
- Identify and action routine and ad-hoc information requests from Finance Teams, Operational Managers, and end users as appropriate.
- Respond to and resolve queries from finance teams and end users on information and output issues in liaison with the Head of Costing.
- Lead on service development in the role's own specialist areas, proposing changes to procedures and policies operated within the Costing Department.
- Utilise expertise, experience, knowledge, and skills to manipulate databases and design spreadsheets that analyse costing output.
The ideal candidate will possess excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment. They will also have a strong understanding of financial and activity-based analysis, as well as experience with database manipulation and spreadsheet design.
