Job Summary:

TDA Group is seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Domestic Violence Advocate to join our team. As a key member of our organization, you will play a vital role in supporting survivors of domestic abuse and promoting their safety and well-being.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct thorough risk assessments and create personalized safety plans for high-risk cases.
  • Provide expert guidance and support to survivors, focusing on legal advice, housing needs, and tenancy support.
  • Collaborate with external agencies, including law enforcement, healthcare providers, and educational institutions, to ensure a coordinated approach to supporting survivors.
  • Lead and participate in Multi-Agency Risk Assessment Conferences (MARAC) to protect survivors and their children.
  • Maintain accurate and comprehensive case records, adhering to safeguarding and data protection policies.
  • Offer court support, including preparation for hearings and trials, to ensure survivors receive the support they need.

Requirements:

  • Proven expertise in domestic violence support, criminal justice processes, and legal remedies.
  • Experience in case management and multi-agency collaboration.
  • Excellent communication and advocacy skills, with the ability to effectively support survivors.
  • Understanding of safeguarding issues and the ability to act appropriately.
  • Proficiency in using case management systems and completing thorough documentation.
  • Commitment to supporting vulnerable groups, including LGBTQ+ and disabled individuals.
