About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Community Key Worker to join our team at Advance. As a Community Key Worker, you will play a vital role in providing holistic support and advocacy services to women involved in the Criminal Justice System.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide one-to-one community support to women with complex needs, including those on probation and those being released from prison.
  • Build relationships with statutory and non-statutory agencies in local communities to establish referral pathways and provide a whole-system approach to supporting individuals.
  • Work collaboratively with our team to develop and implement individualized support plans that address the unique needs of each woman.
  • Conduct regular home visits and co-locate with other agencies to ensure seamless support and advocacy services.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with women, their families, and other stakeholders to ensure a comprehensive understanding of their needs and circumstances.

Requirements:

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with women, their families, and other stakeholders.
  • Strong understanding of the Criminal Justice System and the needs of women involved in it.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a high degree of autonomy and flexibility.
  • Strong administrative skills, with the ability to maintain accurate records and reports.
  • Knowledge of safeguarding procedures and a commitment to creating a culture of zero-tolerance of harm.
