Project Mechanical Design Engineer

Permanent Opportunity

The successful candidate will have a strong background in Mechanical Engineering or Product Design, with a minimum of 3 years' experience in a similar Design Engineering / CAD Operation position.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Utilize CAD software such as Inventor and SolidWorks for concept design and production of technical drawings.
  • Be involved in the final assembly of products and ensure quality standards are met.
  • Develop and maintain 3D models and drawings, as well as create project reports and plans.
  • Collaborate with a small multi-disciplinary team on varied projects, including purchasing and supplier management.
  • Prepare project-related documentation and drawings, ensuring all project aims are met.

Requirements:

  • HNC / HND / BTEC / NVQ / Degree qualified in Mechanical Engineering or Product Design.
  • Proficient in MS Office and 3D CAD software.
  • Previous experience working with sheet metal is preferred.
  • Good theoretical mechanical engineering knowledge of core principles and tight tolerances.
