Job Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Analyst to join our Business Intelligence Team, providing analytical services to the Lancashire and South Cumbria Integrated Care Board.
The successful candidate will be responsible for prioritizing requests for information, performing analysis, and producing meaningful outputs and interpretations of both routine and ad-hoc reports.
This role will contribute to the design, implementation, and review of reporting systems for the CSU and its customers.
The ideal candidate will be an expert user of analytical tools and techniques, able to interrogate and present data effectively.
Experience of working in an NHS setting and knowledge of NHS data sets and terminology are desirable but not essential.
Main Duties:
- Provide specialist business intelligence services to specific work programmes, determining an approach to achieving established objectives.
- Resolve complex queries and communicate complexities to end users.
- Identify and prioritize solutions that improve the business intelligence service of the CSU.
- Provide analysis and interpretation of data and information to support quality and performance reporting, provider contract monitoring, and comparative analysis.
- Provide analytical support to service redesign and new models of care projects.
- Use information and analysis to identify opportunities for improvement.
- Prepare information on a regular basis to enable the CSU/ICB to report to relevant Boards, Committees, and external bodies.
- Develop and maintain reporting systems for the CSU/ICB in a timely and accurate manner.
- Lead on the reporting aspects of new initiatives and provide robust and accurate analyses using data selected from the most appropriate source available.
Person Specification:
- Degree in a relevant subject or equivalent experience.
- Experience of producing analytical reports for presentation to senior levels within the organization and expertise in using analytical tools to interrogate and present data.
- In-depth and thorough specialist knowledge about the benefits that can be obtained from information systems and the use of intelligence.
- Ability to work without supervision, providing specialist advice to the organization and customers, working to tight and often changing timescales.
- Evidence of having successfully delivered an analysis and insight service.
