Electrical Installation Technician

Competitive salary of £39,000, inclusive of company vehicle and necessary tools

At phs Group, we are thrilled to share that our operations are expanding. To facilitate this growth, we are in search of skilled Electricians and Electricians Mates to enhance our already accomplished team, focusing on LED lighting upgrades for a prominent retail client across the UK.

Responsibilities of the Electrical Installation Technician include:

  • Executing LED lighting replacements during scheduled hours and outside of regular hours as per project timelines.
  • Completing and submitting all necessary documentation and certifications punctually.
  • Conducting preliminary surveys to accurately assess stock requirements on a site-by-site basis.
  • Regularly communicating with the Project Manager to provide updates on scheduled tasks.
  • Receiving deliveries from various suppliers, rental, and waste management companies.
  • Possessing comprehensive knowledge of the contract, blueprints, and specifications related to the project.
  • Delivering a thorough handover of all completed work to the site manager upon project completion.

The ideal candidate for the Electrical Installation Technician role at phs will possess:

  • The ability to work 40 hours per week or more, including evening and twilight shifts as project demands dictate.
  • Willingness to travel and stay away from home.
  • A valid UK manual driving license for at least 12 months (subject to insurance criteria), with a maximum of 6 penalty points.
  • NVQ Level 3 and City & Guilds 2360/2365 Level 3 Diploma/2330 qualification.
  • City & Guilds 2391/2394 & 2395 inspection and testing (desirable).
  • City & Guilds 18th Edition qualification required.
  • IPAF 3a & 3b certification.
  • A good level of IT proficiency.
  • Experience in electrical installation/project work, particularly in commercial lighting upgrades.
  • Understanding of Health and Safety regulations in the workplace.
  • The successful candidate must meet the criteria for an enhanced DBS check.
