Position Overview

What We Seek

We are in search of skilled Electrical Technicians to become part of our Water Technologies and Modular Build team on a full-time, permanent basis. You will collaborate with experienced teams to support our ongoing success in delivering projects across various sectors.

Key Responsibilities

  • Safely install cable management systems to a high standard.
  • Execute the installation, gland, and termination of cable systems primarily utilized in the industrial sector, adhering to relevant standards and provided schematics.
  • Install electrical apparatus in compliance with industry standards and manufacturer guidelines.
  • Conduct testing of electrical systems and circuit continuity using appropriate testing instruments to ensure system compatibility and safety.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot malfunctioning systems and components using testing tools and hand tools to identify and rectify issues.
  • Perform work at elevated heights to install, maintain, or repair electrical wiring and equipment, ensuring adherence to safety protocols.
  • Inspect electrical systems and components to identify potential hazards, defects, and necessary adjustments or repairs, ensuring compliance with regulations.
  • Advise management on the safety of continued equipment operation.
  • Plan the layout and installation of electrical wiring and fixtures based on job specifications and standards.

Qualifications Required

  • Fully qualified electrician with expertise in the installation, repair, and maintenance of various electrical systems and components.
  • Current ECS Grading Card (BS 7671 Training, Approved Health and Safety Assessment).
  • Familiarity with tools, equipment, and materials commonly used in the electrical field.
  • Understanding of applicable electrical standards and regulations.
  • Certification in the 18th Edition of the IET Wiring Regulations.
  • Experience in the water industry is advantageous, though candidates from other sectors such as heavy industry will also be considered.
  • Possession of an EUSR Ticket.
  • Valid UK Driving Licence.
