We are seeking an experienced Assistant Practitioner in Breast Imaging to join our team at United Lincolnshire Hospitals NHS Trust. The successful candidate will possess a Foundation Degree in Breast Imaging (FdSc) or equivalent training, and have a strong understanding of the role of the assistant practitioner in breast imaging.
The post holder will be responsible for providing a high-quality mammography service as part of the NHSBSP and Symptomatic Service under the supervision of a qualified Mammographer. This will involve working within a prescribed protocol as laid down by departmental protocol and Scope of Practice.
Key Responsibilities- Provide a high-quality mammography service as part of the NHSBSP and Symptomatic Service
- Work within a prescribed protocol as laid down by departmental protocol and Scope of Practice
- Provide assistance to Radiologists, Radiographers, and other staff in the multi-disciplinary breast imaging team
- Travel to all screening locations as directed and where appropriate, transport equipment and relevant screening materials
- Foundation Degree in Breast Imaging (FdSc) or equivalent training
- Experience of working within a breast screening unit
- Basic IT skills
- Ability to demonstrate literacy and numeracy skills
