**Job Summary**

We are seeking an experienced professional to join our team at Ofwat as an Operational Performance Policy Principal. This role is instrumental in shaping our regulatory approach to performance monitoring and driving meaningful change for customers, stakeholders, and the environment.

**Key Responsibilities:**

  • Lead and drive policy development work for performance monitoring, including the development of strategies and approaches.
  • Collaborate with a matrix of technical, data, and analytical expertise to create policy conditions for delivering meaningful change.
  • Work with senior internal and external stakeholders to communicate complex concepts and information clearly.
  • Develop and implement effective project management skills to lead significant programmes of work.

**Requirements:**

  • Expert knowledge and proven experience leading on policy development and delivery in a regulatory environment.
  • Excellent understanding of regulation, including monitoring performance, protecting customers, and prioritizing risks and issues.
  • Proven experience of taking options and ideas through governance, challenge, and peer review processes.
  • Ability to lead, plan, and manage projects under challenging circumstances.
  • Experience of leading others and managing multiple priorities to meet deadlines.
