About the Role:
The RTL Group Ltd is seeking a highly skilled Mechanical Supervisor to join their team on an 18-month contract. As a Mechanical Supervisor, you will be responsible for supervising and undertaking all mechanical works on a commercial project.
Key Responsibilities:
- Reporting to and working closely with the Project Manager to ensure the successful completion of the project.
- Supervising and managing mechanical sub-contractors to ensure high-quality workmanship.
- Assessing the quality of work delivered by the client's labor and sub-contractors.
- Collaborating with the Quality Manager to ensure all QA sign-offs are completed.
- Dealing with technical issues that may arise during the project.
- Maintaining safe working practices and ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations.
- Attending daily meetings with the management and other trades to discuss project progress.
- Delivering toolbox talks to ensure all site personnel are aware of their responsibilities.
- Arranging inductions for new site personnel.
- Managing productivity and pushing the project towards its completion date.
Requirements:
- SSSTS or SMSTS certification.
- Previous experience in industrial and commercial building services.
- Mechanical trade or engineering qualification.
- At least 10 years' experience working for mechanical contractors.
- Experience in commercial projects.
