Key Responsibilities

As the Senior Financial Operations Manager, you will be tasked with overseeing comprehensive financial operations, including financial planning and analysis, while collaborating closely with the finance team.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Preparation of Monthly Financial Statements, including variance analysis and insights
  • Reporting to the Board, including KPIs and detailed commentary
  • Management of the balance sheet
  • Ensuring compliance with VAT, PAYE, and Corporation Tax regulations
  • Preparation and submission of annual R&D claims
  • Planning and executing the Annual Audit process for both domestic and international entities
  • Budgeting, Planning, and Forecasting on both annual and monthly bases
  • Participation in operational board meetings, contributing insights and presentations
  • Sales forecasting and collaboration with sales management
  • Cash flow management, including forecasting, payments, and banking relationships
  • Financial oversight of international entities
  • Addressing escalated customer inquiries
  • Enhancing and maximizing the functionality of Microsoft Business Central
  • Streamlining financial processes and systems
  • Data management and driving business insights through Business Central and Power BI
  • Maintaining a robust system of controls and process efficiencies
  • Engaging in ad hoc projects for executive leadership
  • Supervising a direct report

Essential Qualifications

  • Strong technical accounting expertise
  • Experience in preparing multi-million-pound budgets
  • Management of annual audits
  • Fully qualified accountant (ACA/CIMA/ACCA)
  • Collaborative team player with excellent communication skills
  • Customer-oriented approach
  • Proficiency in Microsoft 365 and strong data modeling capabilities

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with Microsoft Dynamics Business Central
  • Familiarity with Power BI
  • Background in a B2B SaaS environment
