Copyright and Licensing Oversight
- Assist in the management and organization of copyright and licensing for all IMO sales publications, including various language editions and collaborative publishing efforts, ensuring compliance with technical and security standards.
- Conduct regular assessments and evaluations of rights and licensing inquiries, identify challenges, and recommend corrective and preventive actions.
- Support the supervisor in negotiations and the drafting of agreements and contract renewals, and perform reviews of royalty statements.
- Deliver training on rights management to team members.
Business Development Initiatives
- Draft and assist in the execution of standard operating procedures pertinent to the role and related areas of rights and licensing.
- Facilitate the establishment and maintenance of relationships within the publishing sector, including rights and licensing service providers.
- Contribute to the development of strategic recommendations for the rights and licensing of IMO sales publications.
- Participate in the creation of distribution strategies for IMO sales publications across diverse platforms, including licensing agreements with maritime industry solution providers.
Innovative Solutions
- Stay informed about trends and technologies in rights and licensing, and assist senior team members in advising management on innovative approaches such as subscription models and customized licensing agreements to enhance revenue opportunities.
- Compile statistical analyses and reports on rights and licensing activities, proposing recommendations for optimizing business practices.
Sales and Marketing Support
- Assist in the execution of initiatives aimed at promoting IMO's sales products to a global audience, utilizing both digital platforms and in-person demonstrations to maximize visibility and impact.
- Help manage relationships with distributors.
- Collaborate with other sales team members in addressing inquiries and customer assistance requests through the sales email account and/or by phone.
- Provide support across the Publishing Service, stepping in as necessary to ensure seamless operations.
