An exciting opportunity has emerged for a proactive and visionary Assistant Head of Education to join our esteemed institution, collaborating closely with the Head of School to effectively steer Higford School towards fulfilling our educational vision and mission.

The primary responsibility of the Assistant Head of Education will be to ensure that the quality of educational delivery remains exemplary across the institution. This role will involve close collaboration with the experienced senior leadership team to guarantee the efficient operation of the school in terms of both strategic and day-to-day responsibilities.

Our ideal candidate will possess a remarkable track record in educational leadership and will be capable of realizing our ambitious goal of achieving excellence in all facets of school life.

About the Role

We seek to appoint an inspiring, dynamic, and dedicated Assistant Head of Education to join our Senior Leadership Team. The successful applicant will have experience working with young individuals who have diverse and complex learning requirements. A solid understanding of how these needs influence learning and behavior in educational settings is essential.

Specialist knowledge and experience in supporting children with Autism or social, emotional, and mental health challenges is highly desirable. You will be expected to foster an environment that empowers all learners and staff to thrive.

As the Assistant Head of Education, you will have a comprehensive understanding of independent school standards and the educational inspection framework. You will advocate for a relentless emphasis on educational quality and the delivery of a broad and relevant curriculum that addresses the needs of children and young people, leading to positive outcomes.

In collaboration with the Head of School and the Senior Leadership Team, you will ensure that the school maintains effective management and possesses the necessary team capabilities for ongoing development and improvement.
