Position Overview

We are seeking a dedicated Clinical Psychologist to become a vital member of our supportive team, focusing on the cleft lip and palate service as well as the diabetes team. This role will be overseen by experienced Consultant Clinical Psychologists.

As a leading Paediatric hospital, we pride ourselves on our highly regarded Paediatric Psychosocial services and foster strong collaborations with various medical specialties.

Our work encompasses inpatient care, group therapy, and both in-person and virtual consultations. We facilitate patient and consultation groups, engage in interdisciplinary meetings, and contribute to the broader Trust Schwartz team, while supporting a diverse range of therapeutic modalities, including neuropsychology, family therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Compassion-Focused Therapy (CFT), Narrative Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and other psychotherapeutic approaches.

Key Responsibilities

  • Delivering evidence-based psychological assessments and interventions
  • Participating in multidisciplinary team care planning and evaluations
  • Offering consultation, training, and support to the wider healthcare team
  • Collaborating with senior colleagues to enhance the clinical psychology service
  • Supervising junior colleagues, trainees, and assistant psychologists
  • Engaging in audit and research activities

Qualifications Required

  • An accredited postgraduate qualification in Clinical Psychology
  • Registration with the Health Care Professions Council (HCPC)
  • Relevant post-qualification experience in paediatric, adolescent, or adult health psychology
