Job Summary:

Jameson Legal is seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to fill the role of Head of Risk, Digital Legal Delivery and GenAI. This is a challenging and exciting opportunity for a technically astute lawyer with a strong background in new and emerging technologies and digital transformation.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Manage Risk Across the Firm: The successful candidate will be responsible for managing risk across the firm's global network, ensuring that actions are taken and processes are in place to mitigate current and future risks related to emerging technologies and GenAI.
  • Develop GenAI Policy: The candidate will be responsible for building out the firm's GenAI policy to reflect the firm's risk appetite and confirming the guardrails for decision-making regarding GenAI.
  • Identify and Address Risks: The successful candidate will identify risks that may arise in business functions and digital projects and ensure that they are appropriately addressed.
  • Support GenAI-Related Issues: The candidate will support teams working on GenAI-related issues to navigate GenAI risks, providing clear advice and recommendations and proposing appropriate approaches and mitigating actions.
  • Ensure Compliance: The successful candidate will ensure compliance with developing laws, regulations, and best practices relating to emerging technologies.
  • Support Senior Leaders: The candidate will assist senior leaders within Digital Legal Delivery to make informed risk-based decisions.

Requirements:

  • Technical Expertise: A technically astute lawyer with experience or a keen interest in new and emerging technologies and digital transformation, and experience of developing laws, regulations, and best practices relating to GenAI.
  • Legislative Awareness: An awareness of legislative change and its applicability to lawyers in a global professional services firm.
  • Experience: Minimum 5 years PQE; qualified in a common law jurisdiction.
  • Skills: Broad non-contentious experience preferred.
