Research Scientist

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Research Fellow to join our research team at Queen's University. The successful candidate will have a strong background in Pharmacy, Chemistry, or a related discipline, and will be responsible for assisting in the development and pre-clinical and industrial translation of novel microarray patch delivery systems.
About the RoleThe successful candidate will be an active member of our research team, assisting in the planning and delivery of research activities to meet the overall research objectives of the project. This is a fixed-term maternity cover position available from 2 January 2025 to 31 May 2025.
Key Responsibilities- Design and manufacture polymeric microneedles
- Conduct pharmaceutical analysis, including HPLC
- Develop and implement mass spectrometric detection methods
- Contribute to the formulation science of novel microarray patch delivery systems
- PhD in drug delivery/pharmaceutics
- Minimum 3 years recent relevant research experience
- Experience in pharmaceutical analysis, including HPLC
- Knowledge of mass spectrometric detection as used in combination with HPLC
- Experience of formulation science
