About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Data Scientist to join our team at Aflac Northern Ireland. As a Data Scientist, you will play a key role in driving business growth by uncovering insights from our data and developing data-driven solutions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement statistical and machine learning techniques to build models that address business needs and improve the accuracy of our data and data-driven decisions.
  • Collaborate with data engineers to maximize the outcomes of the team's research and the impact this can have on our customers.
  • Develop strong working relationships with stakeholders to understand business needs and provide data-driven solutions.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and advancements in data science and analytics.

Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in a STEM discipline.
  • Experience programming in Python.
  • Experience with machine learning and semantic analysis.
  • Good understanding of the principled evaluation of ML models.
  • MSc or PhD in a STEM discipline.
  • Experience working and collaborating in teams, particularly in the data space.
  • Experience of deploying, testing & monitoring ML models in production.
