As the Culinary Operations Manager with Sodexo, you will oversee the financial management of the kitchen while ensuring excellence in food and beverage services. Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise the restocking of food supplies and the organization of workspaces post-service.
  • Mentor, train, and motivate the kitchen staff to achieve their best.
  • Oversee the entire catering operation, managing labor, food, and inventory costs.
  • Optimize expenses within your control to enhance profitability.
  • Ensure consistency in food quality and service standards for all staff, visitors, and students.
  • Lead the design and development of innovative menus.
  • Conduct regular audits to ensure compliance with established standards.

Qualifications:

  • A valid UK Driving Licence and personal vehicle are essential for this role.
  • Proven experience in large-scale cooking, serving between 100 to 1300 individuals.
  • Familiarity with recipe adherence, preferably in a similar environment.
  • Previous experience in staff supervision or management is required.
  • Knowledge of working with fresh ingredients and produce.
  • Strong understanding of health and safety regulations.
  • Ability to thrive under pressure and meet tight deadlines in a bustling kitchen.
  • Professional demeanor, leading by example with a positive attitude.
  • Basic food handling certification is required, including:
    • NVQ Level 2
    • Level 2 Food Safety Certificate
    • At least one year of hands-on cooking experience, with training provided on Food Hygiene and Health & Safety.
