We are seeking a highly skilled Electrical and Mechanical Technician to join our team at Acro Aircraft Seating Ltd. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth running of our manufacturing facilities.
Key Responsibilities- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on electrical and mechanical systems to ensure optimal performance and efficiency.
- Install and modify equipment to enhance operational efficiency and improve productivity.
- Oversee safety system modifications to ensure compliance and employee safety.
- Manage the movement of equipment, machinery, and product lines as needed.
- Install or reconfigure services to support existing and new equipment or processes.
- Support the implementation of changes to manufacturing processes to improve productivity and quality.
- Provide practical engineering support for all other activities requiring implementation assistance.
- Develop work instructions for particular job tasks.
- Initiate orders for upcoming or ongoing facilities or maintenance work projects.
- Collaborate effectively with colleagues to achieve common goals.
- Proven experience in a similar role, preferably in a maintenance or engineering technical background.
- Minimum qualification of 18th Edition electrically qualified.
- Strong independent working skills demonstrated across electrical and mechanical disciplines.
- IPAF licence category 3a and 3b (Scissor Lift and MEWP).
- Counterbalance and FLT valid license.
- Ideally, apprentice trained to City & Guilds level or above.
- Capacity to understand a wide range of engineering functions and procedures for the relevant technology.
- Ability to work cooperatively and effectively with colleagues.
- Strong technical engineering skills and practical knowledge, with a common-sense approach.
- Self-confidence and ability to work independently, complemented by good team working skills.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft 365.
