Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled European Road Freight Operations Coordinator to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating the day-to-day operations of our European road freight services, ensuring timely and efficient delivery of goods to our customers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and coordinate export groupage trailers to various European destinations, ensuring optimal routes and costs.
  • Manage monthly profit and loss (P&L) statements for designated services, identifying areas for cost reduction and process improvement.
  • Track shipments and resolve any issues that may arise, ensuring prompt resolution and minimizing delays.
  • Coordinate with carriers, customs agents, and other stakeholders to optimize transport routes and costs, ensuring compliance with all export regulations.
  • Prepare and negotiate quotations for customers, securing the best possible rates and ensuring customer satisfaction.
  • Maintain accurate records of shipments, invoices, and other relevant documents, ensuring seamless communication between departments.
  • Provide completed manifests to the warehouse team, ensuring timely and accurate delivery of goods.
  • Comply with all export documentation requirements, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.
  • Resolve and manage customer queries and complaints in a courteous and efficient manner, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction.

Requirements:

  • Experience in freight forwarding operations or logistics planning, with a strong understanding of export regulations and procedures.
  • Ability to consolidate cargo in the UK, with a good understanding of how to maximize trailer payloads.
  • Excellent customer service skills, with the ability to negotiate favorable rates and win business for our trade routes.
  • Good organizational skills, with the ability to work to deadlines and prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Knowledge of export customs procedures, with the ability to comply with all regulatory requirements.
