Silver Arrow Recruitment is seeking a highly skilled Senior Management Accountant to join our prestigious and niche transport company based in Middlewich.
Job Summary:
We are looking for a senior management accountant to oversee and manage the company's financial systems, ensuring accuracy and efficiency. The successful candidate will prepare detailed financial reports, forecasts, and budgets, and analyse financial performance to provide strategic recommendations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage the company's financial systems, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
- Prepare detailed financial reports, forecasts, and budgets.
- Analyse financial performance and provide strategic recommendations.
- Assist in ensuring control and compliance of all accounting and finance procedures within the business.
- Oversee the sales invoicing process to ensure billing is done accurately and in a timely manner.
- Prepare and complete group VAT returns and other ad-hoc HMRC returns.
- Ensure all payment runs are correctly prepared and bank ID facilities are correctly administered.
- Ensure compliance with financial regulations and standards.
- Liaise with the auditors to ensure an efficient and effective audit process.
- Work with the financial controller and finance director to evaluate systems and processes and look to implement new technology to streamline processes.
Requirements:
- Proven experience in producing monthly management accounts and presenting to senior management.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Proficiency in financial software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- A relevant accounting qualification (e.g., CIMA, ACCA, ACA) is preferred.
- Understanding of reporting tools and their importance in providing real-time data to the wider business.
What We Offer:
- Competitive salary: £45,000-£50,000 PA.
