Job Title: Aerospace Safety Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Health and Safety Manager to join our team at Cooplands Bakery. As a key member of our Health and Safety team, you will be responsible for delivering health and safety strategies, supporting management teams, and ensuring compliance with legislative standards.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement health and safety strategies to improve the safety culture and reduce risks across the organization.
  • Monitor and review safety representatives and staff safety walks to ensure remedial actions are completed in a timely manner.
  • Chair the Health and Safety committee and provide senior managers with minutes and actions.
  • Review and improve health and safety management systems to enhance the safety culture within the business.
  • Conduct site health and safety inspections and ensure all staff undergo annual health surveillance.
  • Review and complete accident and near-miss incident root cause investigations to resolution.
Requirements:
  • A technical or professional qualification such as NEBOSH General Certificate as a minimum.
  • A proven track record of delivering HSE improvements.
  • Previous experience in a food manufacturing environment.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to build relationships and share best practices.
  • Ability to prioritize and organize workload.
