REPORTS TO: Sales Manager

Overall Job Purpose

As a Business Development Executive, you will have the opportunity to contribute to a team celebrated for its inclusive and vibrant environment. We are looking for an individual with strong analytical capabilities, exceptional organizational skills, and a genuine curiosity to make meaningful contributions. This role offers a fantastic pathway for those aspiring to advance into positions such as National Account Manager.

In this role, you will undertake two essential functions: assisting our Sales team in delivering outstanding customer satisfaction and leveraging data and insights to identify new business development and sales growth opportunities. You will also manage a select portfolio of existing clients, enhancing your relationship management skills while collaborating closely with valued customers to foster business expansion. Additionally, you will provide administrative support to our National Account Managers and larger clients, playing a vital role in the overall success of our organization.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee a dedicated group of customers, address incoming inquiries, process orders, and serve as the primary contact for new clients to drive sales.
  • Analyze and interpret various data sources to:
    • Identify and proactively reach out to new business/sales leads
    • Extract and recognize potential opportunities.
    • Spot avenues for sales growth.
    • Identify dormant customers and uncover leads for new business.
    • Gather and obtain valuable category insights.
    • Define and convert a pipeline of opportunities while achieving sales growth targets and KPIs.
    • Assist with inventory planning.
  • Provide proactive support to National Account Managers, Senior Planning Manager & Sales Manager, including event coordination, mailouts, competitive market analysis, New Line form completion, and loan set management.
  • Field, respond to, and prioritize inquiries generated from our direct ecommerce platforms.
  • Engage with internal stakeholders – act as the liaison between Divisional Sales and Sales Operations, ensuring effective communication and efficient order fulfillment to meet our objectives.
  • Stay informed on industry trends and new product features to maintain a competitive edge and promote continuous improvement. Regularly report to Senior Management with insights, updates on progress, and recommendations for future strategies.
  • Effectively promote Casio brands in both virtual and physical environments while supporting the execution of trade events, including attending as necessary.

Requirements

  • ESSENTIAL: Minimum 2 years of sales/account experience.
  • ESSENTIAL: This role demands excellent initiative, drive, and focus. It will be diverse and rewarding for the right candidate who genuinely wants to engage with customers daily.
  • ESSENTIAL: Proven experience in analytical skills, as you will be required to provide general sales analysis and reporting to track targets and historical data. Experience with database maintenance is highly beneficial.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a strong emphasis on customer service.
  • A collaborative team player with strong interpersonal skills, capable of building effective working relationships with cross-functional teams and external partners.
  • Highly organized with exceptional attention to detail; able to manage multiple tasks with shifting priorities. Self-motivated to meet deadlines and achieve goals successfully.
  • Possess sound commercial awareness and a passion for understanding the business and driving tangible change.
  • DESIRABLE: Sales experience within consumer durable goods, stationery, or medical sectors.
  • DESIRABLE: A full, clean driving license for the UK may be required for customer visits within the portfolio and attendance at trade shows.
  • DESIRABLE: Strong problem-solving abilities and the capacity to work effectively under pressure.
  • DESIRABLE: A continuous improvement mindset with the ability to identify gaps in processes and suggest efficiencies.
  • Proficient in using Office 365, particularly Excel and PowerPoint. Prior experience with CRM tools or dashboards is highly desirable, such as HubSpot, Salesforce, or PowerBI.
