Job Title: Head of Commercial

Ipsum is seeking an experienced and skilled professional to lead our commercial operations and drive a culture of safety, health, environment, and quality (SHEQ) excellence.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement a health and safety management system to improve performance and reduce risks.
  • Review and enhance current accreditations and Quality Standards to ensure compliance and excellence.
  • Establish and maintain rigorous risk assessment and incident management systems to ensure a safe working environment.
  • Introduce standardized policies and procedures for drugs and alcohol, lone working, smoking, stress management, workplace wellbeing, occupational health, and health assessments/surveillance.
  • Develop and implement a consistent programme of drug & alcohol testing throughout the division.
  • Ensure consistency in effectively putting people to work with adequate supervision across the division.
  • Monitor working time and driving hours and develop strategies for review and management.
  • Develop and maintain training plans across the division to ensure all employees are certified and competent to undertake their roles.
  • Implement an adequate programme of health and safety training and coaching throughout the employee lifecycle to increase safety performance improvement and culture development.
Requirements:
  • Advanced health and safety qualification such as the NEBOSH National Diploma (or equivalent).
  • Experience of operating in a fast-paced, high growth, commercial, multi-divisional organisation.
  • Organised to effectively schedule projects, activities, and resources to deliver to deadlines.
  • Able to apply critical thinking and analysis to data, identifying potential solutions to make systematic and rational judgements based on relevant information.
