About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and talented Graduate Service and Maintenance Engineer to join our team responsible for defining repairs for wings across the Airbus commercial fleet. As a Graduate Service and Maintenance Engineer, you will be part of a dynamic team that collaborates in the design of the latest aircraft to ensure future designs are repairable, and supports research activities including full-scale wing tests.

**Key Responsibilities:**

  • Develop and implement repair designs, including the use of CAD tools, to define the repair and provide instructions on how to install it.
  • Conduct stress analysis using a range of calculation methods and tools to demonstrate the structural performance of the repair.
  • Perform fatigue and damage tolerance analysis to show that the repaired structure will remain safe for the aircraft's life.
  • Ensure that the repair meets all the requirements, including certification, manufacturing, and other relevant standards.

**Development Journey:**

As a Graduate Service and Maintenance Engineer, you will be on a development pathway to guide your growth into the role of Wing In-Service Repair Engineer. Your development journey will include a minimum of one rotational placement to support your growth into position. For this role, placements would typically include an out-of-business placement, combined with placements at key internal teams such as Customer Services, Chief Engineers, or Future Projects.

**Requirements:**

  • Educated to a degree level or equivalent within Aerospace/Aeronautical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or similar.
  • Recently graduated or first professional experience in the field of aeronautical engineering.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills in English.
  • A desire to work in a collaborative team environment, focused on driving future innovation.
  • The ability to be self-aware and a willingness to take ownership of your development.
