Victim Awareness Officer

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to join our team as a Victim Awareness Officer - Training and Awareness Specialist. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for planning and delivering training and awareness raising activities in relation to victims of crime.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and deliver training programs for various stakeholders, including law enforcement agencies, criminal justice organizations, and community groups.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to identify training needs and develop content that meets those needs.
- Lead on developing new training materials and keeping existing materials up-to-date.
- Maximize the use of social media accounts for training, victim awareness, and awareness of specific crime types.
- Attend events and presentations to engage the local community and increase their knowledge on support for victims of crime.
- Recruit and support a cohort of trained volunteers to perform the roles of Criminal Justice Champions and Engagement Champions volunteers.
- Experience in delivering presentations and structured training programs to a range of audiences.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work flexibly to accommodate training requirements.
- IT literacy and effective communication skills.
Victim Support is an independent charity providing a range of specialist services to people who have been affected by crime across England and Wales. We work towards a world where there are fewer victims but who have stronger rights, better support, and a real influence in the Criminal Justice System.
