About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic individual to join our Programme and Education Team within the Sussex Safer Roads Partnership (SSRP). As a Road Safety Officer, you will play a key role in improving road safety for all road users in the county.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and deliver educational messaging and activities to improve road safety awareness among the public.
  • Work with partners such as local authorities and the fire service to deliver presentations and public engagement events.
  • Evaluate the effectiveness of these interactions and behavioural change.
  • Explore new innovations to improve road safety and reduce harm on the roads.
  • Attend relevant local and national road safety meetings and events.
Requirements
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal and interactive skills.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work with minimum supervision and as part of a team.
  • Ability to adapt style and embrace change quickly and appropriately to suit the circumstances.
  • Holder of a UK Driving Licence.
  • Able to use your own initiative and prioritise and organise workloads.
