Job Summary

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Sample Technician to join our team at SGS. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for managing the subcontracting journey from initial query to testing completion.

Key Responsibilities
  • Sample Registration and Subcontracting: Accurately follow standard operating procedures for registering, subcontracting, and transferring samples between sites.
  • Technical Support: Provide technical support to outsource pricing and testing requirements with subcontracting laboratories.
  • Order Management: Prepare purchase orders via Oracle and update the PO tracker to ensure accurate and timely processing.
  • Collaboration with Sales and Procurement: Liaise with Sales to ensure updated pricing for subcontractors and with Procurement to ensure Oracle is updated to reflect price changes on product catalogues.
Requirements
  • Education: GCSE grade A to C (or equivalent) in Maths and English.
  • Driving License: Full driving license.
  • Communication Skills: Numerate with good written English and excellent customer service skills.
  • IT Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Office Applications.
  • Experience: Experience in operations or a closely related role.
