The Team

The managed cloud offering from Neo4j is called Aura (DBaaS), and we're expanding our Aura team with skilled Engineers. Aura is currently running over 500 managed Kubernetes clusters in production across multiple Cloud Service Providers. Both the number of clusters and the need for new functionality are growing rapidly.

We're seeking vastly experienced, Senior or Lead Cloud Network Engineers with Kubernetes expertise to join our Infrastructure team. Together, we'll develop and maintain the cloud network aspects of our solution.

The Role

You'll work closely with different teams in Neo4j's Cloud organization, Aura, to define the roadmap for Cloud Networking as we continue to scale. We're seeing an increase in the need within this area, and we have many interesting engineering challenges ahead that need to be addressed and solved.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain the cloud network aspects of our solution.
  • Work closely with different teams to define the roadmap for Cloud Networking.
  • Collaborate with the team to address and solve complex engineering challenges.
  • Architect for high availability and scalability.
  • Work in a 24/7/365 SaaS environment.
  • Agile software development within a team environment.
  • Build and deployment pipelines employing continuous delivery.
Requirements
  • Solid understanding of DNS, TLS, mTLS, SNI, and IPv6.
  • Experience with GCP Private Service Connect.
  • Knowledge of AWS/Azure PrivateLink.
  • Multi-tenancy environments.
  • Advanced knowledge of Google Cloud, AWS, and/or Azure.
  • Kubernetes networking.
  • Kubernetes network security.
  • Kubernetes internal networks (Cilium, eBPF, Traefik, Calico, Linkerd, Istio, Consul).
