The work schedule will follow a rotating 10-week rota, with shifts occurring from 06:30-14:30, 11:30-19:30, or 12:30-20:30, including coverage for weekends and bank holidays.

  • Ensure adherence to all relevant Department of Health and NHS policies regarding infection prevention and control, ensuring that all staff comply with the required guidelines.
  • Actively oversee the daily operations of domestic and catering services, managing any operational issues that may arise, while ensuring all designated areas are cleaned according to NHSI Cleaning Standards.
  • Lead and motivate staff to uphold quality standards and maintain health, safety, and hygiene protocols at their respective sites.
  • Manage the ordering, receiving, and control of all necessary materials, utilizing appropriate software systems for order processing.
  • Provide support during evenings and weekends as needed to assist domestic staff on duty.
  • Ensure appropriate staffing levels for all shifts and be available to cover any shifts where domestic staff are unavailable.
  • Conduct and implement risk assessments to ensure safe working practices are followed.
