Commercial Senior Underwriter

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Commercial Senior Underwriter to join our team at Lawes Insurance Recruitment. As a key member of our commercial lines team, you will be responsible for underwriting and managing commercial risks, developing and maintaining relationships with brokers and internal stakeholders, and providing exceptional customer service.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Underwrite and manage commercial risks, ensuring accurate and timely decisions that meet our clients' needs.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with brokers and internal stakeholders, providing excellent customer service and support.
  • Support the profitable development of mid-market commercial combined and real estate accounts.
  • Engage and encourage relationships with regional brokers to develop and support our clients' commercial lines accounts.
Requirements:
  • A confident decision maker with a strong and decisive approach to underwriting commercial risks.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with others.
  • Experience in underwriting and trading mid-market commercial combined products.
  • Ability to work flexibly, with a minimum of 25 hours per week and flexible working options.
