About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Strategic Portfolio Lead to join our client, a Local Authority, on a Contract basis.

This is a critical role that will play a key part in the development and implementation of the council's strategic change portfolio programme, leading on all aspects of the Portfolio Office and Centre of Excellence delivery.

Key Responsibilities
  • Team Leadership: Lead the recruitment, development, line management, and retention of the team.
  • Portfolio Office Establishment: Lead the establishment and delivery of hub and spoke sub-PMOs in support of Portfolio Managers and/or Strategic Programme Managers.
  • Terms of Reference: Lead the development and implementation of terms of reference for the Portfolio Office and Centre of Excellence.
  • Technical Support: Provide technical support and advice to the Head of Change in prioritizing, constructing, approving, and tracking the Change Portfolio.
About You

You will have the following experiences:

  • Extensive experience in a similar role for a Local Authority.
  • Excellent understanding of Hub & Spoke models.
  • Outstanding stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Prior experience in setting up and developing PMOs and Centres of Excellence.

  • Salary: £500+ per day, inside IR35

  • Hours: 09:00 - 17:00, Monday to Friday
