We are seeking a highly skilled Strategic Portfolio Lead to join our client, a Local Authority, on a Contract basis.
This is a critical role that will play a key part in the development and implementation of the council's strategic change portfolio programme, leading on all aspects of the Portfolio Office and Centre of Excellence delivery.
Key Responsibilities- Team Leadership: Lead the recruitment, development, line management, and retention of the team.
- Portfolio Office Establishment: Lead the establishment and delivery of hub and spoke sub-PMOs in support of Portfolio Managers and/or Strategic Programme Managers.
- Terms of Reference: Lead the development and implementation of terms of reference for the Portfolio Office and Centre of Excellence.
- Technical Support: Provide technical support and advice to the Head of Change in prioritizing, constructing, approving, and tracking the Change Portfolio.
You will have the following experiences:
- Extensive experience in a similar role for a Local Authority.
- Excellent understanding of Hub & Spoke models.
- Outstanding stakeholder engagement skills.
- Prior experience in setting up and developing PMOs and Centres of Excellence.
- Salary: £500+ per day, inside IR35
- Hybrid working
- Contract type: Contract
- Hours: 09:00 - 17:00, Monday to Friday
