We are currently seeking a skilled Facilities Operations Manager. In this role, you will collaborate with the existing Workplace Manager to oversee the daily operations of our facilities and services. This is a full-time, permanent position based at our unique game development studio.

WHAT WE DO

  • The Rockstar Workplace Services Team (WPS) ensures that our workplace, building, facilities, and services operate seamlessly to support our core business.
  • We foster a creative, supportive, and safe working environment for all our staff.
  • We manage both hard and soft facilities services, including maintenance, security, cleaning, catering, and space strategy.
  • We ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and guidelines.
  • We collaborate with senior leadership to implement proactive real estate growth strategies, improvements, and capital projects.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Take overall responsibility for the building and facilities services, ensuring a safe and comfortable environment for staff and visitors.
  • Work alongside other Workplace Managers to lead the Workplace Services team, ensuring professionalism and adherence to standards while providing coaching and development.
  • Build and maintain relationships with support functions to ensure office needs are met and sustained.
  • Manage contracts for facilities services, including procurement, budget oversight, negotiation, and performance management.
  • Oversee Workplace Services projects from inception to completion, ensuring deadlines are met and communication with stakeholders is clear and consistent.
  • Ensure compliance with all legal and statutory requirements, including Health & Safety and sustainability legislation.
  • Document and develop operational processes and compliance documents for facilities management.
  • Collaborate with Security and Business Protection teams to monitor and report on risks and security measures.
  • Work with Technical Services to ensure compliance and maintenance of standards.
  • Manage space and desk utilization efficiently in line with studio requirements.
  • Assist the Workplace Strategy Team with global projects and initiatives.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Degree level education or equivalent vocational experience.
  • 3+ years of experience managing a multidisciplinary Workplace team with strong communication, leadership, and conflict resolution skills.
  • Experience in overseeing service contracts, including procurement and performance management.

  • Thorough understanding of current safety legislation and best practices.
  • Detail-oriented, flexible self-starter with strong initiative and excellent organizational skills.
  • Strong planning and project management skills with a multifaceted perspective.
  • Process-driven yet outcome-focused, always seeking quality improvements.
  • Able to work independently and collaboratively, managing workload effectively.
  • Ability to drive initiatives and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders.
  • Experience in related business support fields such as IT, Administration, or Operations.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Creative problem-solving abilities.
  • Capability to coach and develop team members to achieve service goals.
  • Enthusiasm for creating a motivating team environment while upholding standards.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Strong numerical and IT skills.

PLUSES

While not required, the following skills are desirable:

  • IWFM or IFMA qualification.
  • NEBOSH Safety Qualification or equivalent.
  • Experience in the Creative Industries such as video games, film, or music.
  • Familiarity with work order systems and project management platforms.
  • Experience with AutoCAD.
