- Completion of advanced training in obstetric anaesthesia, paediatric anaesthesia, and anaesthesia for airway surgery.

- Comprehensive understanding of clinical governance principles.
- Demonstrated leadership abilities.
- Financial and budget management knowledge.

- Capability to inspire and develop a multidisciplinary team.

Qualifications and Experience
Essential Qualifications
- Completion of a specialist training program in anaesthesia or equivalent (CCT/CESR).
- FRCA or equivalent qualification.
- Special Interest Area (SIA) or equivalent fellowship in a relevant field.
Desirable Qualifications
- SIA/fellowship in perioperative medicine or related fields.
- Recent NHS experience within the last three years.
- Experience as a Locum Consultant in an acute care setting.
- Expertise in the acute management of critically ill children.
- Evidence of service audit or design experience.
Registration Requirements
Essential Qualifications
- Must be registered on the GMC Specialist Register for Anaesthesia (CCT/CESR) or, if a UK trainee, within six months of CCT at the time of interview.
Teaching Responsibilities
Essential Qualifications
- Completion of Stage 3 or equivalent training in Education and Training, including requirements to be a clinical supervisor.
- Experience in teaching and training medical students, residents, and junior medical staff.
Desirable Qualifications
- Completion of training to become an Educational Supervisor.
