As a key member of our engineering team, you will play a crucial role in overseeing and guiding our team to achieve optimal performance. This demands a unique combination of technical expertise, project management skills, and the ability to lead the team towards operational excellence.

**Key Responsibilities:**

  • Support the work of others through developing their skills and implementing best practice.
  • Develop and implement a planned preventative maintenance and inspection programme to minimize downtime and provide records of recurrent faulting.
  • Provide high operational availability and an efficient breakdown repair service.
  • Liaise with external contractors on specific repairs/maintenance work in accordance with Group procedures.
  • Control plant maintenance, spares, and consumable costs in line with budget, ensuring critical stock levels are maintained.
  • Manage shift handovers to ensure effective communication of works orders and priorities.
  • Stay up-to-date with changes to health & safety and environmental legislation and Company policies to ensure defined standards and best practice are implemented.
  • Ensure compliance with all Company policies, processes, and procedures.
  • Review maintenance activities, implementing necessary corrective actions as required.
  • Monitor and control engineering team shift coverage, holidays, and absence reporting.

**Requirements:**

  • Level 3 Qualified Mechanical or Electrical Engineering
  • Budget/P&L management skills
