We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Waste Operations Manager to oversee the daily operations of our waste management sites. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our sites, managing staff, and maintaining high standards of safety and compliance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operational Management: Oversee the daily operations of our waste management sites, ensuring that all activities are carried out in a safe and efficient manner.
- Staff Management: Manage and supervise a team of staff, providing guidance and support to ensure that they are equipped to perform their duties effectively.
- Safety and Compliance: Ensure that all sites are compliant with relevant regulations and standards, and that all staff are aware of and adhere to safety procedures.
- Training and Development: Provide training and development opportunities for staff to enhance their skills and knowledge.
- Quality Management: Implement and maintain a quality management system to ensure that all sites meet the required standards.
- Stock Control: Manage the inventory of equipment, consumables, and other resources to ensure that they are adequate and properly maintained.
- Customer Service: Provide excellent customer service to internal and external customers, responding to queries and concerns in a professional and timely manner.
Requirements:
- Essential:
- Good IT skills, familiar with MS Office or equivalent packages
- Good interpersonal skills
- Good numeracy and literacy skills
- Experience dealing with customers
- Experience in contract management, waste operations management, and supervision of employees in the waste management industry or similar workplace
- Experience delivering training packages
- Valid UK driver's licence for driving up to a 3.5 tonne vehicle, access to own vehicle, and insurance for business use
- Desirable:
- Valid and relevant Certificate of Technical Competence with evidence of continued competence
- Experience driving a vehicle up to 3.5 tonnes
Additional Information:
