Job Title: SCBU Deputy Sister

We are seeking an experienced and enthusiastic Neonatal Nurse to join our Special Care Baby Unit (SCBU) team at Hinchingbrooke Hospital. As a Deputy Sister, you will play a key role in leading and coordinating shifts, providing high-quality patient care, and supporting junior staff.

About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic and supportive team environment. As a Neonatal Nurse, you will be responsible for delivering evidence-based care to patients and their families, working collaboratively with other healthcare professionals to achieve the best possible outcomes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and coordinate shifts, ensuring effective and efficient delivery of patient care.
  • Provide high-quality patient care, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of care.
  • Support and mentor junior staff, promoting a culture of learning and development.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to achieve shared goals and objectives.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of unit policies and procedures.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

Registered Nurse Adult or Child qualification.Qualified in Speciality (Neonates), ENB 405 or equivalent.Minimum 2 years post-registration experience on a neonatal unit at Band 5.Evidence of Neonatal Advanced Life Support training.Evidence of Standard of Student Supervision & Assessment training.What We Offer
