Position Overview:
The Senior Electrical Operations Supervisor at EMCOR UK is responsible for leading and managing electrical installation, maintenance, and repair tasks within a designated team or department. This role entails supervising electricians, technicians, and subcontractors, ensuring adherence to industry regulations and safety protocols, while promoting effective project delivery. The Senior Supervisor is pivotal in resource management, troubleshooting technical challenges, and fostering a culture of safety and excellence in electrical services.
- Lead a diverse team of skilled engineers, technicians, and subcontractors, offering guidance, direction, and support as necessary.
- Plan and coordinate electrical initiatives, including new installations, upgrades, and refurbishments, in partnership with project managers and relevant stakeholders.
- Oversee project implementation, resource distribution, and financial management to achieve project goals and timelines.
- Provide technical knowledge and support to address intricate electrical challenges, resolve issues, and ensure compliance with applicable regulations and standards.
- Examine technical drawings, specifications, and plans to confirm accuracy and alignment with project requirements.
Required Qualifications:
- Degree or diploma in Electrical Engineering, Construction Management, or a related discipline.
- Valid Electrician certification and completion of an apprenticeship.
- 18TH Edition certification.
- Initial & Periodic Electrical Inspection and Testing (2391) certification.
- Extensive experience in electrical installation, maintenance, and supervisory roles.
- Proven expertise in project management, team leadership, and technical proficiency.
- Strong interpersonal abilities, with a talent for motivating, coaching, and developing team members.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills, capable of effectively engaging with clients, contractors, and stakeholders.
