Position Overview:

The Senior Electrical Supervisor role at EMCOR UK is pivotal in managing and directing electrical installation, maintenance, and repair operations within a designated team or division. This position entails leading a group of electricians, technicians, and subcontractors, ensuring adherence to industry regulations and safety protocols, while facilitating the successful execution of projects. The Senior Electrical Supervisor is instrumental in resource management, troubleshooting technical challenges, and fostering a culture of safety and excellence in electrical practices.

  • Lead a diverse team of skilled engineers, technicians, and subcontractors, offering direction, support, and mentorship as required.
  • Plan and oversee electrical projects, including new installations, upgrades, and refurbishments, in partnership with project managers and stakeholders.
  • Manage project execution, resource distribution, and budget oversight to achieve project goals and timelines.
  • Provide specialized knowledge and support to address intricate electrical challenges, troubleshoot issues, and ensure compliance with applicable regulations and standards.
  • Examine technical drawings, specifications, and plans to confirm precision and compliance with project requirements.

Required Qualifications:

  • Degree or diploma in Electrical Engineering, Construction Management, or a related discipline.
  • Valid Electrician certification and completion of an apprenticeship.
  • 18TH Edition certification.
  • Initial & Periodic Electrical Inspection and Testing (2391) certification.
  • Extensive experience in electrical installation, maintenance, and supervisory roles.
  • Proven skills in project management, team leadership, and technical problem-solving.
  • Strong interpersonal abilities, with a talent for motivating, coaching, and developing team members.
  • Exceptional communication and negotiation skills, capable of effective collaboration with clients, contractors, and stakeholders.
