We are seeking an experienced Social Worker to join our Children in Care Team, dedicated to providing quality services to children in care and their families. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for assessing the needs of children, developing and implementing plans to address their needs, and working with multi-agency networks to ensure the best possible outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:- Conduct holistic social work assessments to identify risk and need
- Develop and review plans to address and mitigate concerns in a timely manner
- Liaise with health and education professionals to develop support packages for children with complex needs
- Work collaboratively with multi-agency networks to ensure the best possible outcomes for children
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A Social Work qualification and prior experience of working with children in care
- A working knowledge of the legislation that governs work with children, including the Children's Act 1989 as amended, the Children's Act 2002, the Care Act 2014, and the Children and Families Act 2014
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage with a variety of stakeholders
- Ability to navigate multi-agency systems and processes effectively
