About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Healthcare Support Worker to join our team at the National Inpatient Unit in Royal Hospital for Children in Glasgow. The successful applicant will work on Ward 4, a 6-bed ward providing assessment and clinical interventions to young people experiencing mental health difficulties.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assess, care plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care programmes using a strength-based, recovery-focused approach.
  • Work within a large multidisciplinary team, supporting young people in their recovery.
  • Undertake duties without direct supervision, working in partnership with patients, carers, and other professionals/agencies.
  • Work in both community and home settings, as required.
Requirements
  • Preferably have experience of working in an inpatient setting and with young people and families with complex needs.
  • Be able to work in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing tasks and managing multiple responsibilities.
  • Have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with patients, carers, and colleagues.
