Job Title: Healthcare Support Worker

We are seeking enthusiastic and dynamic Healthcare Support Workers to join our team within the 5 day Same Day Admissions / Pre Assessment for Neurosurgery & Oral Maxillofacial surgery within the Institute of Neurological Sciences, Queen Elizabeth University Hospital.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide high-quality patient care and support to patients undergoing neurosurgery and oral maxillofacial surgery
  • Work collaboratively with the multidisciplinary team to ensure seamless patient care
  • Assist with patient assessments, investigations, and treatments
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of patient care plans
  • Participate in ongoing professional development to enhance skills and knowledge

Requirements:

  • Commitment to patient-centred care and continuing professional development
  • Understanding of the service and specific needs of patients
  • Ability to work 12-hour shifts or 8-hour shifts

NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde is one of the largest healthcare systems in the UK, employing around 40,000 staff in a wide range of clinical and non-clinical professions and job roles. We deliver acute hospital, primary, community, and mental health care services to a population of over 1.2 million.

Working Hours:

NHS Scotland is reducing its full-time working week from 37 hours. This reduction will also be applied pro rata for part-time staff. You may be required to work up to an additional 30 minutes per week for a temporary period for which you would be paid.
